Gilmore Liquid Air Company began back in 1955 in a garage at the home of Harry and Virginia Gilmore. Harry and Virginia had moved to Southern California from Illinois to raise their children and start a new business.
Mr. And Mrs. Gilmore foresaw the growth of Southern California's scientific and aerospace industries and founded Gilmore Liquid Air Company in the interest of distributing cryogenic fluids and specialty gases to those as well as other industries.
Gilmore Liquid Air Company continued to grow and in 1958 moved into its permanent location at 9503 East Rush Street South El Monte California. By 1965 Gilmore Liquid Air Company had 20 employees and 9 delivery trucks.
The years went by and Gilmore Liquid Air Company continued to grow. In 1993 the company built a 13,500 square foot office building with a warehouse and retail store. In 2003 Gilmore Liquid Air Company opened its second location in Temecula California.
Gilmore Liquid Air Company is a self-contained supplier of Cryogenic, Industrial and Specialty Gases and Equipment to the Southern California marketplace. Gilmore Liquid Air Company has been able to provide superlative levels of service for over 50 years to both small and large customers by having the capabilities to fill most types of gases at our South El Monte, CA facility.
We are now a third generation family owned and operated business serving all of Southern California. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide knowledgeable and personalized service at competitive prices.

1950
1955 - Gilmore Liquid Air Co. founded. First order 15 liters of liquid nitrogen to the Marquardt Co Van Nuys CA.
1958 - Gilmore Liquid Air Co. moves to its permanent location in South El Monte, CA
1959 - Gilmore Liquid Air Co. provides cryogenic fluids to the Lockheed Corporation's "Skunk Works" program for continued devolvement of the U2 Spy plane.
1960
1961 - Gilmore Liquid Air first cryogenic distributor on the west coast to fly liquid helium in from the east coast to meet the requirements of their customers.
1966 - Gilmore Liquid Air Company purchases their first bulk liquid nitrogen delivery truck.
1970
1974 - Gilmore Liquid Air Company provides various gases and technical support to George Lucas and his special effects team for the production of the first Star Wars film.
1977 - Gilmore Liquid Air Co. develops and patents a hand-held cryosurgical devise to assist physicians in the treatment of skin disorders.
1980
1981 - Gilmore Liquid Air Co. opens their welding equipment division.
1990
1992 - Gilmore Liquid Air Company completes construction of its new office building with retail welding store and warehouse.
2000
2001 - Co-founder Harry J.Gilmore passes away at the age of 79.
2003 - Gilmore Liquid Air Company opens its Temecula Ca location.
2007 - Gilmore Liquid Air Company adds a 3300-gallon bulk Liquid Nitrogen delivery truck to its fleet.
2007 - Gilmore Liquid Air Company launches their new website (version 1.0)
2007 - Gilmore Liquid Air Company Acquires Riverside County Based Wilson Cryogenics.
